Moist and Chewy Chocolate Cake.

A delicious twist on a favorite dessert!

Recipe: Moist and Chewy ChocolateCake

Chocolate Cake:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
3 (1-ounce) packets NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® ChocoBake Unsweetened Chocolate Flavor
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup milk

Rich Chocolate Frosting:
3 cups to 3 1/4 sifted powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 (1-ounce) packets NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® ChocoBake Unsweetened Chocolate Flavor
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt

  • For Cake: Beat sugar, butter, Choco Bakeand vanilla extract in large mixer bowl for 4 minutes. Add eggs;beat well. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; beat into sugarmixture alternately with milk.
  • Spread into two well-greased 9-inch roundbaking pans or one 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  • Bake in preheated 350°F (175°C)oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in centercomes out clean. Cool in pan(s) for 15 minutes; invert onto wirerack(s) to cool completely.
  • Frost with Rich Chocolate Frosting.
  • For Rich Chocolate Frosting: Beat sugar,milk, butter, Choco Bake, vanilla extract and salt in small mixerbowl until smooth and creamy.

    An incredibly moist, rich, triple layer chocolate cake with whipped cream filling and chocolate buttercream frosting. This was always a favorite in our house!
