Mocha Nut Butter Balls recipe

Buttery mocha-flavored nut cookies rolledin powdered sugar.

Recipe: Mocha Nut ButterBalls

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour1/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa2 teaspoons powdered instant coffee1/2 teaspoon salt1 cup butter1/2 cup granulated sugar2 teaspoons vanilla extract2 cups pecans, finely choppedPowdered sugar for rolling

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  • Combine flour, cocoa, instant coffee andsalt together in a medium-sized bowl. Set aside.
  • Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla untillight and fluffy. Stir in flour mixture; add pecans and mix well.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls and place on ungreasedcookie sheets.
  • Bake for 17 to 20 minutes or until lightlygolden.
  • Roll in powdered sugar while warm andcool on wire racks. Once cooled, repeat rolling in powdered sugar.Store in tightly covered container.

    Makes about 4 dozen.
