Mixed Nut Bars recipe

If you like nuts, you’ll absolutely lovethis sweet and salty nutty treat!

Recipe: Mixed Nut Bars

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 (12-ounce) can salted mixed nuts
1 (6-ounce) package butterscotch chips
1/2 cup light corn syrup
3 tablespoons butter

  • In mixing bowl combine flour, sugar and1/2 cup butter. Beat for 2 to 3 minutes or until mixture resemblesfine crumbs. Pat mixture evenly onto the bottom of an ungreased13x9x2 inch baking pan. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 10to 15 minutes.
  • Sprinkle nuts evenly over baked mixture.
  • In a small saucepan combine butterscotchchips, corn syrup and 3 tablespoons butter. Cook and stir overlow heat until melted. Pour melted mixture over nuts. Returnto oven and bake 10 minutes.
  • Cool and cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.

    Makes 48 bars.
