Minted Malted Milk recipe

This recipe shows there’s more you cando with those cute little pastel pillow mints than simply pop’em in your mouth or fill the candy dishes at wedding and babyshowers. Add five to a cup of milk with some instant chocolatemalted powder, heat until hot and you’ve got a quick and easy,hot cup of yum.

Recipe: Minted Malted Milk

3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons chocolate instant malted milk powder
5 pastel pillow mints

  • Stovetop Directions: In a small saucepancombine the milk, chocolate malted milk powder, and mints. Cookand stir over medium heat about 4 minutes or until the mixtureis hot.
  • Microwave Directions: In a microwave-safemug stir together the milk and chocolate malted milk powder.Stir in mints. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4minutes or until hot. Stir again before serving.

    Makes 1 serving. (Recipe can be increased,as desired.)

    For the second batch, melt the chocolate squares in a double boiler. Let cool about ten minutes and add to the buttercream. Add the malted milk powder and mix well.
