Mini Chocolates & Butter Pecan Bars recipe

Rich pecan bars with miniature chocolates.

Recipe: Mini Chocolates &Butter Pecan Bars

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 (10-ounce package) miniature milk chocolate candies – divideduse
3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans – divided use

  • Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease8-inch square baking pan; set aside.
  • Beat butter, brown sugar, egg and vanillain medium bowl; beat in flour. Stir in 3/4 cup chocolates and1/4 cup pecans; spread evenly into prepared pan.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightlybrowned; remove from oven.
  • Immediately sprinkle remaining 1 cup chocolatesover top. Let stand 5 minutes or until chocolate softens. Spreadevenly with knife. Immediately sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup pecansover top; press gently.
  • Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cutinto bars.

    Makes 16 bars.
