Million Dollar Fudge recipe

Marshmallow creme and two types of chocolatemakes this fudge extra luscious!

Recipe: Million Dollar Fudge

4 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
1 (12-ounce) package or 2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 (12-ounce) package or 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 (7-ounce) jar or 2 cups marshmallow creme
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts* (optional)

  • Combine sugar and evaporated milk in amedium saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and cookfor 6 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine milk and semisweetchocolate chips, marshmallow creme, butter and vanilla.
  • Pour milk mixture over chocolate mixtureand stir until smooth.
  • Fold in pecans then pour into a buttered13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  • Allow to cool before cutting into 1 1/2-inchsquares.

    *Roasting the nuts gives them a more deliciousflavor and added crunch. This can be done in a heavy skilletover medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until they are goldenand fragrant. Or, on a baking sheet in a 300°F (160°C)oven, stirring occasionally, for about 5 to 10 minutes or untildone, keeping a close eye to prevent the nuts from burning asthis can happen all too suddenly.

    Makes 48 pieces.
