Mexican Wedding Cookies recipe

Whether on a dessert table, at a picnicor even at an actual Mexican wedding, these cookies are alwaysa welcome sight.

Recipe: Mexican Wedding Cookies

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 cup ground nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup sifted powdered sugar

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Combine flour, butter, first amount ofpowdered sugar, nuts and vanilla in a large bowl and mix well.Form into 1½-inch balls. Place on baking sheets and bake10 to 15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • Remove from oven and roll in remainingpowdered sugar while still warm. Store in airtight containerwhen cool.

    Makes 36 cookies.
