Marshmallow Creme recipe

An uncooked version of homemade marshmallowcreme.

Recipe: Marshmallow Creme

3 large egg whites*
2 cups light corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • In large mixing bowl, combine egg whites,syrup and salt. Using an electric mixer, beat for 10 minutesuntil thick.
  • Add powdered sugar at low speed. Add vanillaextract and beat until well blended.

    Makes 2 quarts.

    *Note: Please exercise caution when usingraw eggs that are uncooked in prepared food (see FoodSafety). We suggest using a pasteurized egg white productfor this recipe.
