Marble Swirl Cheesecake recipe

A cheesecake microwave recipe.

Recipe: Marble Swirl Cheesecake

4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • Combine melted butter and chocolate wafercrumbs. Press onto the bottom of a microwave-safe 9-inch piepan and micro-cook on HIGH for 2 minutes. Cool. In a mixer bowl,beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Pourinto the pie crust.
  • In a small bowl, micro-cook semisweetchocolate chips until the chocolate can be stirred smooth. Droponto the cheesecake and swirl the chocolate through to createa marbled effect. Micro-cook on MEDIUM for 10 to 12 minutes,or until the center is almost set. Cool then refrigerate untilcold, about 5 hours.

    Makes 8 servings.

    The idea of this marble pumpkin cheesecake started after making these chocolate pumpkin bars . As I mentioned in that recipe, the pumpkin layer is actually a pumpkin cheesecake. With cheesecake being my favorite dessert it was obvious I would make a pumpkin cheesecake with some of the pumpkin I just bought. If i dont have one of the pans where the bottom comes out, can i use a regular pie dish? I bought all the ingredients not realizing i didnt have the pan and dont have time to go to the store, if not maybe ill do the bars instead?
