Lotsa Salsa recipe

Salsa and tortilla chips…always a favoritesnack at get-togethers.

Recipe: Lotsa Salsa

1 (14 1/2-ounce) can fire-roasted tomatoes,drained1 medium onion, quartered10 large garlic cloves3 jalapeño chilies, stemmed, seeded1 bunch fresh cilantro, stems trimmed4 large tomatoes, seeded, quartered1 (7-ounce) can diced green chilies6 large green onions, finely chopped2 teaspoons green Tabasco sauce1 teaspoon ground cumin3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice2 tablespoons fresh lime juiceSalt and freshly ground black pepper totasteTortilla chips

  • Process tomatoes, onion, garlic cloves,jalapeños and half of cilantro in processor to chunky puree. Transfer mixture to a large bowl.
  • Place fresh tomatoes, diced greenchilies and remaining cilantro in processorand blend until tomatoes are finely chopped. Addto mixture in large bowl. Mix in green onions, cumin, and lemonand lime juices. Season to taste withsalt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate least 1 hour before serving.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.

    Makes about 8 cups.
