Layered Crab Spread recipe

Seasoned cream cheese is topped with alayer of crab meat. Serve chilled with butter crackers.

Recipe: Layered Crab Spread

2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce1/4 teaspoon garlic powder2 tablespoon finely chopped green onionSalt and freshly ground pepper to taste3/4 cup prepared chili sauce1 (16-ounce) can crab meat, drained, anycartilage removedAssorted crackers

  • In large mixer bowl, beat cheese, lemonjuice, Worcestershire and garlic powder until fluffy; seasonto taste with salt and pepper and stir in onion.
  • On serving plate, spread cheese mixtureinto 6-inch circle. Top with sauce then crab meat. Cover; chill.Serve with crackers.
  • Refrigerate any leftovers.

    Makes 12 appetizer servings.
