Jones Ham and Gruyere Spirals recipe

Tasty little ham and gruyere cheesepuff pastry spirals.

Recipe: Jones Ham and GruyereSpirals

1 sheet frozen puff pastry (1/2 of 17.3-ouncepackage), thawed according to package directions
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
4 Jones Country Carved deli thin slices, or 1/2 cup finely dicedJones Farm Fresh & Tender Dainty Ham or Ham Steaks
1/2 cup (2 ounces) shredded Wisconsin Gruyere or SwissCheese
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (optional)
1 large egg, beaten

  • Preheat oven to 400ºF (205ºC).Spray baking sheet lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place thawed puff pastry on lightly flouredsurface; spread with mustard. Arrange ham over mustard, leaving1/2 inch of pastry at top of longer side uncovered. Top withgruyere or Swiss cheese and basil. Starting at longerside, roll up tightly jelly-roll style; pinch seam to seal.
  • Cut roll into 1/2-inch slices. Place sliceson prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Brush tops withbeaten egg.
  • Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until goldenbrown. Serve warm.

    Makes 18 servings.

    Note: For advance preparation, roll canbe wrapped and frozen. Thaw at room temperature 30 minutes beforeslicing and baking as directed above. Or, roll can be wrappedand refrigerated several hours or up to one day in advance beforeslicing and baking.
