Italian Turkey Burgers.

These tasty grilled ground turkey burgersare laced with chopped fresh basil and garlic, and topped withmozzarella cheese and Roma tomato slices.

Recipe: Italian Turkey Burgers

1 pound fresh ground turkey
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves*
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 slices mozzarella cheese
4 wholewheat hamburger buns
2 Roma tomatoes, sliced

  • Prepare grill; heat until coals are ashwhite.
  • Meanwhile, combine ground turkey, basil,paprika, garlic, salt and pepper in medium bowl. Shape into 4(14-inch thick) patties.
  • Place patties on grill. Grill, turningonce, until cooked through (12 to 15 minutes). Top each burgerwith 1 slice cheese; continue grilling until cheese is melted(1 minute).
  • To serve, place burgers on buns; top withtomatoes.

    Makes 4 servings.

    *Substitute 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves.
