Recipe: Italian Spinach &Mushroom Salad
1 (10-ounce) package fresh spinach leaves,rinsed and patted dry
1 (8-ounce) package sliced baby bella or button mushrooms
1/4 cup whipped cream cheese, added to salad by small spoonfuls
1 (19-ounce) can chick peas or garbanzos, thoroughly rinsed anddrained
1/3 cup crumbled crispy cooked bacon
1/2 cup your favorite Italian dressing
Makes 4 servings.
Tip: Make it a main dish salad . . . justflash marinate! Brush meat or poultry repeatedly during grillingor broiling with Italian dressing; then slice and add to salad.
