Island Cookies.

Coconut and macadamia nuts give this cookiea tropical flavor!

Recipe: Island Cookies

1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 (11.5-ounce) package NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® MilkChocolate Morsels
1 cup flaked coconut, toasted if desired
1 cup chopped macadamia nuts

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking sodaand salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar, granulatedsugar and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until creamy.Beat in egg. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels,coconut and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased bakingsheets.
  • Bake for 8 to 11 minutes or until edgesare lightly browned.
  • Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; removeto wire racks to cool completely.

    Makes 3 dozen.

    Note: NESTL TOLL HOUSE Semi-SweetChocolate Morsels, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Morsels, Semi-SweetChocolate-Covered Raisins, Premier White Morsels or ButterscotchFlavored Morsels may be substituted for the Milk Chocolate Morsels.
