Irresistible Chocolate Pecan Bars recipe

You won’t be able to resist these cookiebars with their chocolate shortbread crust and sweet creamy pecanfilling.

Recipe: Irresistible ChocolatePecan Bars

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1 cup butter
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

  • Heat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Stir together flour, sugar and cocoa inlarge bowl.
  • Cut in butter until crumbly. Press firmlyonto bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake 15 minutes; remove from oven.
  • In medium bowl, beat sweetenedcondensed milk, egg and vanilla until well blended. Stir in pecans.
  • Spread mixture evenly over hot baked crust.Return to oven. Bake 25 minutes oruntil lightly browned. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
  • Cut into bars.

    Makes 24 to 36 bars.
