Hot Buttered Rum recipe

Hot, buttery-sweet and comforting, especiallywhen the weather outside is cold.

Recipe: Hot Buttered Rum

2 tablespoons brown sugar1 1/2 cups water1 1/2 cups dark rum6 tablespoons butter, softened

  • Place brown sugar and water into a mediumsaucepan and heat to boiling.
  • Remove from heat and stir in rum and butter,mixing well.
  • Pour into mugs andsprinkle with freshly grated nutmeg. Serve at once.

    Makes 4 servings.
