A cake that tastes like a honey bun…nowhow sweet is that?!!
Recipe: Honey Bun Cake
1 (18.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix3/4 cup vegetable oil4 large eggs1 cup sour cream1 cup packed brown sugar1 tablespoon ground cinnamonIcing:2 cups powdered sugar4 tablespoons milk1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
In a large bowl combine cake mix, oil,eggs, and sour cream. Mix by hand untilmost large lumps are gone.
Pour half of batter into an ungreased9 x 13 x 2-inch baking pan.Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon on topof the batter in baking pan. Spoonthe other half of the batter into thecake pan, covering the brown sugar andcinnamon. Swirl top of cake with a knife until it looks like a honey bun.
Bake for 40 minutes, or until tested donewhen wooden pick inserted in centercomes out clean.
For Icing: Combine in a small bowl thepowdered sugar, milk and vanilla untilwell blended.
Spread over the warmcake.
Makes 12 servings.
