Honey Barbecue Turkey Kabobs recipe

A tasty combination of turkey and scallionsin a drizzling, sweet sauce.

Recipe: Honey Barbecue TurkeyKabobs

1/4 cup canola or vegetable oil
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup honey
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper2 packages Honeysuckle White Tenderloins
1 bunch scallion greens, sliced into flat 2-inch pieces
Honey barbecue sauceWooden skewers

  • Whisk together oil, soy sauce, honey,garlic and pepper. Add the turkey and marinate for 2 or morehours (the longer the better.) Discard marinade.
  • Soak 10 to 12 wooden skewers for 30 minutesor more.
  • Drain turkey mix and divide turkey evenlyamong the skewers, adding the scallion greens between pieces.
  • Cook the kabobs on the grill, turningand brushing with your favorite honey barbecue sauce for about12 to 15 minutes or until the turkey is fully cooked. This canalso be done in the broiler.

    The extra flavor field for this recipe lies in the garlic enhanced, minty yogurt sauce. I use non-fat Greek yogurt for it s richness and cut it with a bit of lemon juice. Be careful how large a clove of garlic is used and go for one on the smaller side as the garlic flavor becomes stronger as it sits in the yogurt. I ve found myself waking up in the morning after eating these with a hangover of garlictosis. Not that it s such a bad thing. Kiss me, honey!
