Recipe: Holiday Polka DotBars
1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour*
1 cup Quaker Oats® (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups milk chocolate or semisweet chocolate chips
Candy-coated chocolate pieces in holiday colors, or holiday sprinklesin holiday colors, or colored sugars
Makes 48 bars.
*Increase flour to 1 3/4 cups when usingold fashioned oats.
