Holiday Fruit Sauce recipe

Served this festive, honeyed fruit sauceas an accompaniment to roasted meats or poultry or as a delicioustopping for ice cream, bread pudding or cakes.

Recipe: Holiday Fruit Sauce

6 pears (use a combination of Anjou, Bartlett,Bosc, Comice, etcetera)6 apples (use a combination of GrannySmith, MacIntosh, Gala, etcetera)2 cups orange juice.1/2 cup honey1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon1 cup fresh cranberries

  • Peel and core fruit and cut into largechunks. Place in a large saucepan and addthe orange juice, honey, cinnamon and cranberries. Bring to aboil. Cook until fruit is tender.
  • Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.Refrigerate.

    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
