Holiday Bread recipe

A festive spiced pumpkin quick bread loadedwith cranberries and chocolate chips.

Recipe: Holiday Bread

4 large eggs2 1/2 cups granulated sugar2/3 cups vegetable oil1 (16-ounce) can pumpkin3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour2 teaspoons baking soda1/2 teaspoon baking powder2 teaspoons ground cinnamon1 teaspoon ground cloves2/3 cup milk2/3 cup frozen cranberries1 cup semisweet, white or milk chocolatechips

  • Mix sugar, oil, and pumpkin together inlarge bowl. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  • In separate bowl, sift together flour,soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves. Add to pumpkin mixturealternately with milk. Stir in cranberries and chocolate chips.
  • Pour into 2 well-greased bread pans.
  • Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 1 1/4hours. Cool before removing from pans.

    Makes 2 loaves.
