Green Bean Casserole

The classic green bean casserole has beena favorite side dish for holiday meals since the 1950s.

Recipe: Green Bean Casserole

1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroomsoup
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 dash black pepper, as needed
4 cups fresh cooked green beans, canned or frozen
1 1/3 cups French fried onions – divided use

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°F).
  • Mix soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, greenbeans and 1 cup of the onions and place in a lightly greasedcasserole dish. Bake 25 minutes. Stir; sprinkle with remaining1/3 cup onions. Bake for 5 more minutes.

    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
