Granny’s Spoon Rolls recipe

No kneading, no rising required for thesetender and yeasty ‘biscuit-like muffins’ — just mix and spoonthe dough into greased muffin tins and bake.

Recipe: Granny’s Spoon Rolls

1 (1/4-ounce) package active dry yeastor 2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
2 cups warm water
1 1/2 sticks (3/4 cup) butter, melted
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
4 cups self-rising flour

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
  • Dissolve yeast in warm water; add otheringredients and stir.
  • Spoon into greased muffin tins.
  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until goldenbrown.
  • Dough may be refrigerated for up to 1week.

    Makes 2 dozen rolls.
