Graham Cracker Crackle Cookies recipe

These chocolate chip and graham meringuecookies, reminiscent of everyone’s favorite campfire treat S’Mores,are low-fat and scrumptious!

Recipe: Graham Cracker CrackleCookies

1 large egg white (about 2 tablespoons)
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoons malted milk powder
1/2 cup finely crushed graham cracker crumbs flour
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).Lightly coat baking sheet(s) with vegetable oil and flour; setaside.
  • In a large bowl, combine egg white, creamof tartar, powdered sugar and malted milk powder. Beat with anelectric mixer on high speed until thick and smooth. Stir ingraham cracker crumbs.
  • Drop dough in 1 1/2 teaspoon mounds 3-inchesapart on prepared baking sheets. Lightly press chocolate chipsequally into mounds.
  • Bake cookies until golden brown, about7 minutes; switch positions of baking sheets after 4 minutes.Transfer baking sheets to racks and let cookies cool for 1 minute;then transfer cookies to racks with a wide spatula. Cool completelyand store in an airtight container.

    Makes about 18 cookies.

    With s mores on my mind this week as I packed for the lake, I knew I had to create a new cookie reminiscent of everyone s favorite campfire treat. You have a chocolate cookie, rolled in graham cracker crumbs, and topped with marshmallows.  S more-rific.
