This golden round loaf of yeast bread,made with cottage cheese, is crusty-buttery on the outside, moistand chewy on the inside.
Recipe: Golden Cottage Bread
1 (0.25-ounce) package active dry yeastor 2 1/4 teaspoons
1/4 cup warm water (110°F to 115°F / approximately 45°C)
1 cup cream-style cottage cheese, room temperature
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 large egg
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon butter, softened
Makes 1 loaf or 16 servings.
