Recipe: Glazed Pork Loaf
1 1/2 pounds lean ground pork
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
3/4 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 large egg
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Tip: To ease removal of the pork loaf fromthe slow cooker, fold two 24-inch-long pieces of aluminum foilin half lengthwise, then in half lengthwise again. Place stripsacross each other, forming a cross in the bottom of a 3 1/2 or4-quart slow cooker. Press strips against the inside of the slowcooker, letting ends hang over the outside.
