1 cup butter or margarine, softened 2/3 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup light corn syrup 1 large egg 1 tablespoon lemon juice 2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt
Cream butter and sugar until light andfluffy. Add corn syrup, egg and lemon juice and beat until thoroughlycombined. Stir in flour and salt. Divide dough in half and shapeinto flat disks. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Roll out one disk at a time into 1/8-inchthickness. Use cookie cutters to cut into desired shapes.
Place 2-inches apart onto baking sheetsand bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly golden. Coolon a wire rack.
Makes 12 cookies.
