Garlic-Roasted Ham recipe

Garlic lovers unite! Add more variety tothe already savory, smoky flavor of ham. Serve with mashed sweetpotatoes, buttered broccoli and seasonal fruit salad.

Recipe: Garlic-Roasted Ham

1 (3 to 4-pound) center-cut cooked ham
2 to 4 cloves garlic
1/3 cup molasses
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

  • Heat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  • Peel and slice garlic.
  • Using the tip of a paring knife, cut slitsin ham roast. Insert garlic slices into slits.
  • Stir together molasses and pepper in smallbowl. Spread molasses mixture over ham. Wrap ham with heavy-dutyfoil.
  • Place foil-wrapped ham in roasting pan.Roast for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until internal temperature as measuredwith a meat thermometer is 140°F (60°C).
  • Serve warm or refrigerate until completelychilled. Slice for sandwiches or cube for salads or main dishes.

    Makes 10 to 14 servings.

    Ok let s begin. These are not so much cooking directions as decisions you have to make along the way about your ham the directions are in the recipe as far as cooking times, etc.  If it s boneless, it s simple just like slicing a loaf of bread.  That was one thing I didn t have to look up!  Thank goodness for Google!  Don t you love that there is nothing that you can t find on there?
