Fudgy brownies studded with dark chocolatechips.
Recipe: Fudgy Dark Choco-ChipBrownies
3/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside.
Stir together cocoa and baking soda inlarge bowl; stir in 1/3 cup butter. Add boiling water; stir untilmixture thickens.
Stir in sugar, eggs and remaining 1/3cup butter; stir until smooth.
Add flour, vanilla and salt; blend completely.Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until browniesbegin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in panon wire rack.
Cut into squares.
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup boiling water
2 cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup dark chocolate chips
Makes 24 to 36 brownies.
