Fruit Salad Canapes.

A fresh fruit salad tossed in a creamydressing made with media crema, a Mexican-style thick cream,and sweetened condensed milk and served atop toasted slices ofbread.

Recipe: Fruit Salad Canapes

1 medium pear , cored and chopped1 orange , sectioned and chopped1/2 banana , chopped1/2 carrot , grated1 tablespoon pepitas or flaxseed1/4 cup NESTL LA LECHERA SweetenedCondensed Milk2 tablespoons NESTL Media Crema2 tablespoons reduced-calorie mayonnaiseGrated peel of 1 lemon1 tablespoon lemon juice6 slices BIMBO Double Fiber Toasted BreadMint leaves

  • Combine pear, orange, banana, carrot andpepitas in medium bowl. Combine sweetened condensed milk, mediacrema, mayonnaise, lemon peel and lemon juice in small bowl.Stir into fruit mixture. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Cut each toast piece into 4 squares carefullywith a serrated knife.
  • Spoon fruit salad on toast pieces. Garnishwith mint.

    Makes 24 servings .

    This salad has lots of spinach, lots of fresh, sliced strawberries, and a delicious, sweetened oil and vinegar dressing spiked with poppy and sesame seeds. Who knew that peach pie filling tasted so good when stirred into a bowl of sliced fruit – kiwi, bananas, grapes, and strawberries? Makes eight very generous servings.
