Fruit and Chocolate Dream Bars.

This easy dessert recipe will make a splashat your next pot luck!

Recipe: Fruit and ChocolateDream Bars

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
6 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 cup raspberry or strawberry jam
1 3/4 cups NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® Milk ChocolateMorsels

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF (175ºC).Grease 9-inch-square baking pan.
  • For Crust: Combine flour and granulatedsugar in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or twoknives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press onto bottomof prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until setbut not brown.
  • For Topping (prepare while crust is baking):Combine flour, nuts and brown sugar in small bowl. Cut in butterwith pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarsecrumbs.
  • Spread jam over hot crust. Sprinkle withmorsels and Topping. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until goldenbrown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.

    Makes 30 bars.
