French Puffs recipe

Melt-in-your mouth, buttery cinnamon andsugar glazed mini muffins.

Recipe: French Puffs

Puffs:1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg1 large egg
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup melted butterGlaze:
1/3 cup melted butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon groundcinnamon

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).Grease 2 mini-muffin pans and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar,baking powder, salt and nutmeg; set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine egg, milk, andbutter; pour into flour mixture and stir just to blend. Do notover mix.
  • Fill prepared muffin tins evenly withbatter.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until testeddone.
  • While warm, dip puffs in melted butterand roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture.

    Makes 2 dozen.
