French Fried Cheese recipe

Cheese cubes may be coated ahead and refrigerateduntil ready to fry.

Recipe: French Fried Cheese

Wisconsin Cheddar, Muenster, Brick orColby cheese, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
2 large eggs, beaten
Seasoned dry bread crumbs or flour
Vegetable oil

  • Dip each cheese cube in beaten egg. Coatwith crumbs; repeat.
  • Fry in hot oil (350°F to 375°F/ 175°C to 190°C) until lightly browned.
  • Serve immediately.

    Makes 20 servings.

    Tip: Cheese curds may be substituted forcheese cubes.
