Fluffy Pistachio Fruit Salad recipe

You remember that bowl of fluffy, funny-lookinggreen stuff at the potluck you weren’t sure about, but tastedjust to be nice…and then realized the stuff tasted terrific?This is the recipe.

Recipe: Fluffy PistachioFruit Salad

1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, undrained1 (4-serving size) package instant pistachiopudding mix1 (12-ounce) container nondairy whippedtopping, thawed2 large bananas, sliced2 cups miniature marshmallows1 (17-ounce) can fruit cocktail, drained1 (11-ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained

  • Pour instant pudding mix into a largemixing bowl. Add pineapple, and mixwell. Mix in nondairy whipped topping. Stir in bananas, marshmallows,fruit cocktail, and mandarin oranges.
  • Cover, and refrigerate for 4 hours orovernight.

    Makes 6 to 8 servings.

    I m planning to try to make your Watergate salad for someone who is lactose intolerant so I can t use the pudding mix. I found a recipe for a dairy free pistachio pudding. I will let you know how it comes out. Thanks for posting your recipe! The butterscotch pudding salad sounds good too! Hmm so butterscotch instead of pistachio pudding and apples instead of pineapples? That sounds interesting. Anyone else tried that salad?
