Festive Pineapple Glazed Ham recipe

Eyecatching main dish for any holiday meal.

Recipe: Festive PineappleGlazed Ham

1 (10-ounce) jar ham glaze
2 (8-ounce) cans pineapple slices, drained – divided use
6 pounds fully cooked ham

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  • Place ham glaze and 2 pineapple slicesin blender; cover. Blend until pineapple is crushed.
  • Place ham on rack in roasting pan; scoretop of ham in diamond pattern, making cuts 1/4-inch deep. Brushwith 1/4 cup ham glaze mixture.
  • Bake, brushing occasionally with 1/4 cupto 1/2 cup ham glaze mixture, for 60 minutes. Remove ham fromoven. Arrange remaining pineapple slices on top of ham; securewith wooden picks. Place a cherry half in center of each pineappleslice; secure with wooden pick.
  • Bake, brushing occasionally with remainingham glaze mixture, for 45 to 60 minutes. Remove wooden picksbefore serving.

    Makes 12 servings.

    In a sauce pan over medium heat, combine reserved poaching liquid, sugar, mustard and crushed pineapples. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cook, stirring occasionally, until liquid is reduced and thickened. With a knife, score the surface fat in a diamond pattern at about ?-inch deep and 1-inch apart. Place cloves at the intersection points of the cuts to form a nice pattern around the top and sides of ham.
