Fattoush Salad recipe

This is a refreshing Middle Eastern choppedsalad with a lemony zip. Chop or dice all of the ingredientsinto small pieces, so each forkful contains a complete varietyof delicious flavors.

Recipe: Fattoush Salad

2 pita breads1 head romaine lettuce, washed and dried4 Roma tomatoes, diced1 cucumber, peeled and diced2 tablespoons mint leaves, chopped2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped2 tablespoons parsley, chopped1/4 to 1/2 cup LemonGarlic Dressing

  • Toast pita breads until well done, cool,and break/crush into small pieces. Set aside.
  • Chop lettuce into very small pieces andplace in a large bowl. Add the remaining ingredients, includingthe pita pieces.
  • Pour Lemon Garlic Salad dressing overthe salad and toss to combine all the flavors well.
  • Serve.

    Thanks for this great recipe. I ve always wondered what the red spice in those yummy restaurant salads was. Sumac! I ll get some asap use it a lot, I think.


    Although you can have fattoush salad all year round, I often associate it with warm weather.
