This rich cake is reminiscent of poundcake thanks to the vanilla pudding mix. It’s rich and sweet andcompletely irresistible!
Recipe: Easy Rum Cake
1 cup finely chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).Grease a tube pan.
Sprinkle nuts in the bottom of a the tubepan.
Combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, coldwater, oil, and half of the rum in a large bowl. Mix for 2 minutes.Pour over nuts. Bake for 60 minutes. Allow to cool.
Meanwhile, combine sugar, butter and secondaddition of water in a saucepan. Boil for five minutes, stirringconstantly; remove from the heat. Stir in remaining half of rumthen return to heat just until mixture boils. Prick the cakeall over the top and pour on the glaze.
1 (18.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 (18.25-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
4 large eggs
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup rum, divided use
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup water
