Easy Peach Cobbler recipe

This easy cobbler is done in reverse, thefruit is spooned atop the batter…but as it bakes the batterends up on top.

Recipe: Easy Peach Cobbler

2 tablespoons butter or margarine,melted1 (2-pound) can sliced peaches with juice1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg1 tablespoon cornstarch1/2 cup water1 cup milk1 cup granulated sugar1 cup all-purpose flour2 teaspoons baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1/2 cup butter or margarine1 tablespoon granulated sugar1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Combine 2 tablespoons melted butter ormargarine, spices, and sliced peacheswith juice. Stir cornstarch and watertogether; mix into peach mixture.
  • In another bowl, mix together milk, sugar,flour, baking powder, and salt; mixturewill be thin.
  • Melt 1/2 cup butter or margarine in 13x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  • Pour batter over melted butter.
  • Spoon peaches over batter.
  • Mix together the sugar and cinnamon andsprinkle over top.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutesto 1 hour, or until golden brown.

    Makes 6 servings.
