Easy Nutty Cocoa Cake recipe

‘Nut bread-mix-easy’ cocoa nut zucchinicake with a creamy cocoa buttercream frosting.

Recipe: Easy Nutty CocoaCake

Cake:2 (about 15-ounces each) packages nutquick bread mix
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
6 large eggs
3 cups shredded zucchini
Cocoa Buttercream Frosting:5 1/3 cups powdered sugar1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder3/4 cup butter, softened1/2 cup milk2 teaspoons vanilla extract.

  • Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Greaseand flour three 8-inch round baking pans.
  • For Cake: In a large bowl, stir togetherbread mix, sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, oil and eggs in large bowluntil well mixed. Stir in zucchini and pour evenly into preparedpans.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until woodenpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; removefrom pans to wire rack. Cool completely.
  • For Cocoa Buttercream Frosting: Ina large bowl, combine powdered sugar, cocoa, softened butter,milk and vanilla; beat to spreading consistency.
  • Fill and frost sides and top of cake.

    Makes 12 to 16 servings.

    A good idea for a quick, easy dessert. It reminds me of a layered cake I haven t had since childhood, but the name of it escapes me. I m pretty sure I will try this recipe at one desperate moment! I used half of the pack by rolling out the  chocolate Truffles and made this no-bake nutty chocolate cake with the rest. Thanks to my friend now I shop for more of these once upon a time disdained cookies ??
