Easy Chocolate Rice Pudding recipe

Quick and easy chocolate rice pudding usinginstant rice and a pudding mix.

Recipe: Easy Chocolate RicePudding

4 cups chocolate milk
1 (4 serving size) package Chocolate or Vanilla Pudding Mix (cookedtype, not instant)
1 cup instant rice

  • In a medium saucepan, gradually stir milkinto pudding mix. Stir in rice; cook over medium heat until mixturejust comes to a boil, stirring frequently. Cool 5 minutes, stirringtwice.
  • Pour into bowl or individual dessert dishes.Cover surface with plastic wrap.
  • Serve warm or chilled topped with whippedcream, if desired.

    Makes 10 servings.

    Variation: Prepare as directed. Cool toroom temperature. Stir in 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or choppedwalnuts.

    Add the vanilla and the chopped dark chocolate to the hot rice and stir until the chocolate is melted and thoroughly incorporated into the pudding. Divide the pudding into 4 dessert bowls and serve warm or chilled.
