Easy Caramel Frosting recipe

As good as it is easy, this creamy caramelfrosting coordinates well with a large variety of cake flavors…letyour imagination run wild!

Recipe: Easy Caramel Frosting

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 cup whole milk
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Bring the butter and brown sugars in asaucepan over medium heat to a boil and cook for 2 minutes, stirringoccasionally. Add the milk and bring mixture back to a boil.
  • Remove pan from heat and stir in the powderedsugar and vanilla, mixing until frosting is smooth. Frost cooledcake immediately.

    Frosts and fills an 8 or 9-inch layer cakeor 1 (13 x 9-inch) cake.
