Making crunchy, chocolate-covered toffeejust doesn’t get easier than this easy baked toffee.
Recipe: Easy Bake Toffee
1 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar, packed 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans – divided use 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).Lightly butter a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; set aside.
Combine butter and brown sugar in a heavy,medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in2 cups of pecans.
Pour into the prepared pan and bake 15for minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with the chocolatechips; when chips have softened, spread evenly over toffee. Sprinkleremaining 1/2 cup pecans on top. Let cool completely and breakinto pieces. Store in airtight container.
Makes about 2 pounds candy.
