Easy Apple Pie

Nothing beats the smell of apple pie bakingin the oven, and this variation is as easy as pie!

Recipe: Easy Apple Pie

2 (12-ounce) packages frozen STOUFFER’SHarvest Apples, defrosted*
1 package (9-inch) double crust pie pastry
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons milk

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Place 1 pastry in 9-inch pie plate. Combineescalloped apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; spoon intoshell.
  • Place remaining pastry on top of applemixture; seal and flute edges. Cut slashes in pastry. Brush pastrylightly with milk; sprinkle with additional sugar.
  • Bake for 50 minutes or until crust isgolden brown.

    Makes 8 servings.

    *Defrost escalloped apples in microwaveon MEDIUM (50%) power for 6 to 7 minutes.

    Arrange apples in layers in pastry lined pie plate. Sprinkle each layer with sugar and cinnamon. Dot top layer with small pieces of butter or margarine. Cover with top crust.
