Dreamsicle Cake recipe

A ‘cake-mix-easy’ lusciously moist, intenselyflavored orange cake with a fluffy, orange frosting. What a dreamof a this cake is!

Recipe: Dreamsicle Cake

1 (18.25-ounce) package Orange SupremeCake Mix (Duncan Hines)
1 (3-ounce) package orange gelatin
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup orange juiceIcing:8 ounces (1 cup) sour cream
1/3 cup orange juice (might need a bit more)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 (8-ounce) container frozen non-dairy whipped topping, thawed
1 cup shredded coconut

  • Mix all ingredients in large mixer bowland beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • Bake in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch bakingpan, in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 30 to 40 minutes oruntil cake starts to come loose from edges of pan. Cool cakecompletely.
  • For Icing: Mix sour cream, orange juice,and sugar well.
  • Fold in Cool Whip and coconut. Spreadon cooled cake. Store in refrigerator.

    Makes 12 servings.
