Double Chocolate Fantasy Brownies recipe

These double chocolate brownies have achocolate cake-crumb crust with creamy chocolate filling anda chocolate crumb topping.

Recipe: Double ChocolateFantasy Brownies

1 (18.25-ounce) package chocolate cakemix
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 large egg
1 cup chopped nuts
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF (175ºC).
  • In a large bowl, beat chocolate cake mix,oil, and egg until crumbly. Add chopped nuts and reserve halfof the cake mixture. Press the remainder firmly into a 13 x 9-inchcake pan.
  • Then in a saucepan over medium low heat,combine sweetened condensed milk, semisweet chocolatechips, vanilla, and salt. Cook until the chips melt stirringconstantly. Pour melted chocolate over the crust and top withthe reserved crumb mixture.
  • Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until bubbly.

    Makes 24 bars.
