Disappearing Chocolate Bars recipe
Moist and chocolaty, these will be a favoritewith the chocolate fan in your family. Icing them to make themeven more irresistible.
Recipe: Disappearing ChocolateBars
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup NESTL ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
2 large eggs
1 large egg white
2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup NESTL ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
1 1/4 cups chopped walnuts
Creamy Chocolate Icing (recipe follows)
Makes 24 (2 dozen) bars.
Creamy Chocolate Icing: 1/3 cup NESTL TOLL HOUSEBaking Cocoa and 3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine inmedium bowl; stir well. Alternately stir in 1 cup sifted powderedsugar and 1/4 cup CARNATION Evaporated Milk. Stir vigorouslyuntil smooth.
Tip: 1 (16-ounce) container chocolate frostingcan be substituted for Creamy Chocolate Icing.
