Decorated Sugar Cookies.

It’s easy to make delicious cut-out sugarcookies when you use ready-made cookie dough…and decoratingthem is more fun!

Recipe: Decorated Sugar Cookies

1 (18-ounce) package NESTL ®TOLL HOUSE® Sugar Cookie Bar Dough
All-purpose flour for sprinkling
Easy Cookie Icing (recipe follows)
1 jar decorator sprinkles

  • Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  • Sprinkle flour onto work surface. Rollout dough to 1/4-inch thickness, using additional flour as neededto prevent sticking. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters.Transfer cookies to ungreased cookie sheets with spatula.
  • Bake for 10 to 14 minutes or until lightbrown around edges. Smaller cutters and sharp edges tend to producedarker cookies. Cool on baking sheets for 1 minute; remove towire racks to cool completely. Decorate as desired.
  • For Easy Cookie Icing: Combine 1 cup siftedpowdered sugar, 1 tablespoon milk and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extractin small bowl. Stir in additional milk, a teaspoon at a time,until desired consistency. For colored icing, tint with foodcoloring.

    Makes 24 cookies.
