Crostini Aperitivo.

Add a touch of Tuscany to your meal withthis simple, yet elegant crostini appetizer made with thin slicesof multi-grain baguette topped with prosciutto, creamy goat cheeseand a delicious pesto spread. Buon appetito!

Recipe: Crostini Aperitivo

1 (about 20 inches long) multi-grain baguette1 clove garlic, peeled and halved crosswise2 (about 5.3-ounce) packages soft goatcheese1 (7-ounce) container BUITONI RefrigeratedAll Natural Pesto with Basil1 (3-ounce) package thinly sliced prosciutto,cut into stripsAdditional toppings: roasted and slicedbell peppers, roasted thin asparagus, shaved melon and/or choppeddates (optional)

  • Preheat broiler. Cut bread into 40 (1/2-inch-thick)diagonal slices. Place on baking sheet.
  • Broil for 1 to 2 minutes on each sideor until golden. Rub tops of bread slices with cut garlic halves.Discard garlic.
  • Combine cheese and pesto in small bowl;stir until combined. Spread about 2 teaspoons mixture over eachtoasted bread slice. Top evenly with prosciutto and any additionaltoppings.

    Makes 40 servings.
