Crispy Chocolate Cereal Bars.

Recipe: Crispy ChocolateCereal Bars

8 cups miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup light corn syrup
4 cups oven-toasted rice cereal
4 cups pretzel sticks
1 (13-ounce) package NESTLE® BUNCHA CRUNCH® Candy – divideduse

  • Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  • Combine marshmallows and corn syrup ina large saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly,for 2 to 3 minutes or until marshmallows are melted. Remove fromheat. Stir in cereal, pretzels and 2 cups Buncha Crunch.
  • Press cereal mixture into prepared bakingpan. Sprinkle with remaining Buncha Crunch; press in lightly.Refrigerate for 20 minutes or until firm. Cut into bars.

    Makes 24 servings.

    We have made these granola bars several times and they always disappear quickly. Three of my four kids have peanut allergies, so it is always a challenge to find store bought bars that are not peanut-tainted . We had been looking for a crispy granola bar recipe, and this one nails it. I always have all the ingredients on hand and just love how the rice Krispies lighten up the bars . perfect after school snack! Hi there, these look amazing and from all the reviews I am definitely going to make. I have a pantry full of nuts, oats and dried fruit and wondered if the recipe MUST use rice krispies?
